Music Magazine Double Page Spread Inspirations

The first inspiration I have chosen for my magazine double page spread is all about Justin Bieber and why people are "crazy" about his body. Although this is not why I have choose this double page spread. The reason I choose this double page spread is because of the layout. My opinion is that this looks very professional. The fact that Justin Bieber is spread put throughout the middle of the page draws the readers attention towards him and not necessarily the heading or the actual article itself. Although, the writing itself, since its in all pinks box's each describing all the parts of the body his fans are mad about. This will stand out a lot and I like that idea of the actual article standing out because that what the readers want to see not pictures, even though they are essential, And I might set my double page spread out to be similar to this. Since the text is broken into small sections, which again appears easier to the reader and more appealing, then if the entire page were to be top to bottom, full of text. What I particularly like about the is the title featured at the top of the page. It is placed in a much larger font and unlike all other text featured on the page, is placed in a more stylistic font. The style of the font is aimed at the target audience, which for this magazine is seven to fourteen year old females. And this will appeal to them because it not so formal and from this I will want to do this, but obviously for my target audience, not for little children.

In this double page spread there are three columns containing a different sort of article style. An interview was conducted with the artist Rhianna which is made obvious by the bold text used in the questions asked by the interviewer. In my magazine double page spread I am going to follow the same conventions, as I think it is easier for the reader to understand the article and enjoy the article more. Similarly to the other articles you can see that the text starts with a larger first letter to show clearly where the article begins. I will most definitely be using this idea as i think it is effective because it is clear for the audience to focus on. On this double page spread the photo of Rhianna is on the left hand side, in fact it takes up a  whole page, and the actual article on the right hand side. In my opinion I think this is very effective because it just shows how important they feel she is, so they need to show off her face. The reason for wanting to show off her face is becasue people find her so attractive people just enjoy looking at her.
